G.I. JOE is an elite special ops unit known to only a handful of the highest government officials. Their central mission: to protect their country—and the world—from the corrupt and evil forces that threaten freedom and the environment. The brave soldiers of G.I. JOE work together against all odds and in all arenas, unlike their reviled enemies at COBRA. Led by Cobra Commander, the members of COBRA are just as likely to wage war on each other as they are on the JOEs. Whether fighting in the jungle, in the desert, in the air, or under the sea, the heroes of G.I. JOE are always ready for action on the front lines—whether facing battle or the frontier of scientific discovery.
